Today my blog is based upon my favorite topic "MEDITATION"  Today i tell you a technique and benifit of doing meditation

Before i started the topic i will tell you some points regarding meditation



  • MIND


There are many thoughts that pass through our mind during the course of the day.The research shows that for an average person there is about 90,000 thoughts are comes per day.Did we ever think about that? Before we leave our homes there are series of thoughts it does sound familiar doesn"t it.


It is my experience that mind gives best results depending on the things we 'Focus'.When you think positive then the whole day was going great on the other side if you focus negative things & people shortcomings it makes our heart smaller and creates negativity is us.






  • VIRTUES


It becomes important to focus on "Virtues" such as


  • LOVE
  • JOY
  • HAPPINESS
  • PEACE
  • GRATITUDE

When we focus on these virtues our mind belongs to identify with the meaning of word in sanskrit its called "MATRIKA SHAKTI". We can start our day by saying "Today I'm going to focus on JOY" & we will see that our state would remain joyful throughout the day.


  • DHARANA OR CONTEMPLATION



It's a centering technique this is the visualization where instead of being or felling miserable in a negative state of mind.

"Imagine yourself with eyes closed sitting by the lake a mountain view,water fall,cool breeze e.t.c..."It's depend upon you that which thoughts give you  happiness..by this Dharana you can gain knowledge,experience and increase your will power also.






MEDITATION


It's a practice or a process where an individual trains the mind or induces a mode of consciousness.In English meditation word is derived from the Latin meditatio from a verb meditari meaning "To think,contemplate,devise & ponder.



There is the different myths regarding the meditation one of the main myths surrounding meditations is that,when we grow older and finish our worldly duty which is when we can devote some time for it.If we look at our day whether we are working on a computer reading a book,driving a car or cooking..we are focusing on the things that we are doing in the moment this in a way can also called meditation..However when we sit with our eyes closed we sit in a posture and when turn our focus inside of us in spiritual terms it is called  meditation..





FOR MEDITATION WE NEED TO FOLLOW A SIMPLE PROCESS



  • POSTURE

Sit in a comfortable posture any posture that is  easy comfortable and comes naturally to us.We can also sit on the chair if sitting on the floor is difficult for us ..keep the back straight.




  • BREATHE

When we close our eyes we need to try to become aware of our own breathing. Take a deep breath in the exhale long after doing this for about 4-5 times we can breathe normally let the mind be more and more relaxed with each inhalation and exhalation very gradually we will find ourselves gliding into meditation



  • MIND 

If we find that thoughts are repeatedly disturbing you we can keep going back to the process of focusing on the breath.Thoughts are like clouds they come and go away.The more we let go and be with our breath the more relaxed we become when the mind becomes still we will experience silence or stillness within.





SOME POINTS RELATED TO THE MEDITATION



MEDITATION & AWARENESS

When we are continuously doing meditation then we become more aware of the sensations that are happening in the body and we see that the sensations change.Love & pain are very closely related 


The symbol of Jesus on the cross means that the cross is pain and Jesus is love.


Meditation makes us totally relaxed & at the same time sharpens our awareness 





MEDITATION & DECISION MAKING


When we are confused about all the things ..then the meditation helps a lot for this things.
Living our entire life in anger or anxiety is not very wise.YOGA & MEDITATION help to bring the mind to the present moment.All built-up anger and regret are released through yoga and meditation.


MEDITATION & THOUGHTS


In meditation we find the mind going very deep into itself but something brings us out.Deep thoughts comes out and the depth is lost.Over time we repeat the process and we find our whole nature is changed.Meditation is such a process
